Scott Bateman is a professional journalist who has traveled widely throughout the Caribbean. On board there are about a dozen passengers and the compulsory seat reservations have been issued so that we are all down one end. I sit opposite a slightly scary looking big man with a shaved head and a black leather jacket. It’s actually against the law not to wear a black leather jacket if you are a Romanian man. Smoking and drinking lots of coffee are also mandatory. The inspector writes something on my tickets and it looks like all is in order. The next challenge will be the Bulgarian border in three hours time.
We use a mailing service, Dakota Post, as our address. They will handle your mail in several different ways according to your instructions and either hold your mail for you until you tell them to send it or send it on a regular schedule to an address if you are going to be in one location for a few months. The Escapees also have a similar mail service in SD, and there are other services in SD which I’m sure you can find in a Google search.

Hitting the road this Fourth of July? Or maybe the weekend before the holiday? We don’t create travel charts for midweek holidays, but whether you’re driving on our highways or taking one of our ferries, you should still plan for extra travel time during the weekend and the holiday itself. Let’s throw it out there immediately – Autumn/Fall (basically September to November) is one of the most ideal times to visit for one very obvious reason – school is back! American schools and Universities head back to the classroom come late August/September, which means hotel rates drop and destinations become less crowded.
That’s because the technology used to cancel out background noises removes certain frequencies and affects the audio fidelity of ALL noise canceling headphones. They are meant to be used specifically in situations or environments where the noise cancellation feature is important, such as blocking out the noise of jet engines while traveling by plane. So even frequent business travelers who already own high-quality headphones will appreciate receiving a pair of good noise canceling headphones.

I opted for a traditional application acrylic paint in a semi-gloss finish on the walls and high-gloss on the cabinets. I chose the high-gloss against my design preference because the paint store rep promised the finish would be tougher. I tried both roller sponges and paint brushes and prefered the brush finish to the orange-peel effect of the sponge roller. Neither had as nice a finish as the spray paint. If I could have gotten my chosen color scheme for the cabinets in spray paint I would have done all the cabinets with spray paint for the final color.

Luang Prabang is a great place to buy textiles, local handicrafts, artwork, and jewelry. There are a number of gift shops that cater to tourists, and you can find great local shops in the Old Chinese Quarter. If you want to try fresh local food, try the Phosi Market. The most famous market, however, is the Night Market.

Boler camper trailers are the original lightweight trailers. The trailer was made of fiberglass and was the lightest trailer on the road at that time. Even today there are only a few trailers available that are as light as the Boler. Bolers were manufactured primarily in Canada for over 20 years. The first trailer was produced in 1968 and the last one is believed to have rolled off the production line in 1988. In spite of their age you can still find Boler trailers for sale. There are a number of reasons why owning a recreational vehicle may not be a good idea, and people should give them careful thought before making a decision about buying one. They also shed themselves of furniture, artwork, anything that takes up a lot of space (such as hobby materials, holiday decorations, boxes of family photos, libraries, magazines, newspapers or collectibles), pets, unless they are very small, bulky electronics, excess clothing (especially bulky items), duplicate household goods (such as second sets of dishes and silverware), decorator items, heavy cleaning equipment (such as full sized vacuum cleaners), duplicate tools and recreational equipment (such as kayaks, skis and clunky sports equipment).
We halt construction on major holidays – and will do so this coming weekend. Often, though, the detours and lane changes must remain in place. In some cases, the roadway or bridge is torn up and we couldn’t divert traffic back on it even if barriers were moved. In other cases, leaving the barriers in place allows work to resume more quickly and helps shorten the overall construction and disruption. So, weekend drivers will still see some work zones even without active work. Other work is specifically done on weekends or … Read more

Having a panic attack on a bus for example is an agoraphobic’s worst nightmare. There is a fear of not being able to get off the bus at the precise moment if needed. A person suffering with panic disorder may interpret the actual root problem as a fear of traveling, but actually the reason is typically not being able to escape from the bus, the train, the car. Avoidance becomes an issue, which in turn compounds the problem.
