Planning that far ahead is very smart. It gives you time to really plan what you want to do and come up with a reasonable budget, so you aren’t having to live off granola bars on Day 3 or miss out on doing things because you don’t have enough money to eat and participate in activities. It was very confusing while we were trying to figure out what were the correct requirements because both Croatia and Philippines were giving different answers. Its best to just call BAI-Quarantine unit and explain the situation they would be the right governing body to ask, and since we wanted the cat to be brought to Philippines we just trusted whatever they said.
Sounds great. Thanks for sharing these tips. I am not sure I could do this full time. One year sounds about right to me. I am glad you explained about the mail. I have often wondered how a person that wanted to travel cross country for a year or 2 would be able to get their mail.
If you have ever owned a large motorhome or travel trailer, you know just how hard it is to find a place to park the vehicle. Most of the time you end up in an RV Park, which means a concrete slab or gravel area. You will find yourself with dozens or hundreds of other trailers or motorhomes. Not that much fun.
Don Bobbitt and DzMsLizzy – There are a surprising number of singles who RV, sometimes traveling in groups, sometimes alone. The wonderful thing about the RVing community is that there is always someone willing to lend a hand if you need assistance. Recently, we met an 80+ year old woman who was traveling alone in her RV and had locked herself out. Luckily, there was an unlocked window, so my husband fetched our ladder and climbed into her window to open the door from the inside. I second Don…Never say never!
