Madhya Pradesh to host 5-day Tansen Music Festival from December 26

Madhya Pradesh will be hosting a five-day Tansen Music Festival from December 26 to December 30 in the city of Gwalior. As per the reports, the event would start off with recitations of Harikatha and Milad.

This grand event is, reportedly, one of the most prestigious musical events of the country. This classical music event is being organised by the Ustad Alauddin Khan Kala Evam Sangeet Academy by the Culture Department of the Madhya Pradesh government.

As per the reports, this event would feature artists like Pandit Rajan Mishra and Sajan Mishra, Abdul Hameed Khan and Abdul Majeed Khan, Sanjay Kumar Malik and Madhu Bhatt Tailang. Eight musical meetings have been planned for this event.

Reportedly, the first seven musical sessions would be hosted at the mausoleum of legendary musician Tansen, and the tomb premises of Mohammed Gaus.

The final and the eighth meeting of the musical event would take place at the banks of Jhilmil River in Behat, which is the birthplace of the famous musician Tansen. Reports has it that the said musical event would begin at 10 AM in the morning, whereas the evening meetings would begin from 4 PM.
