UK plans to reopen in measured steps

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is now aiming to reopen society after completing a long period of lockdown. Towards this end, he has now unbelieved a conditional plan, which should allow people to spend more time outdoors. The Prime Minister said that the lockdown should not be lifted suddenly in a week’s time, but is required to go through steps.

He said that, among other things, primary schools would be reopening at the earliest, by June 1. He further stated that those people, who are unable to work from home, must return to their workplace. However, they should avoid public transport. The UK would be working with a new COVID Alert System that has five levels, and this would indicate how quickly the restrictions can be eased. Shops would be also reopening at some stage, but only after it gets cleared for being safe.
